I have worked as a professional archaeologist and heritage consultant for more than 35 years and am a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists. I have managed cultural heritage assessments of several major developments including cross-country pipelines and road schemes. I have acted as expert witness at Public Inquiries and planning appeals. I am familiar with national and EU cultural heritage assessment procedures, legislation and policies and have regularly prepared Environmental Impact Assessments for major schemes. I am a keen fisherman, a member of Amnesty International and a firm believer in the use of adjectival-hyphens. I love Mad magazine.
