Dan Carter
Project OfficerI have been part of AC Archaeology since 2007, and graduated from Bournemouth University the following year with a first-class honours degree in BSc Archaeology. Further to this, in 2009 the work I undertook for my final year thesis, on the buildings of the Verwood pottery industry, received the Dorset Archaeological Award. Since this time, my interest in pottery production in southern Britain, during both the medieval and post-medieval periods has developed and I am currently working towards attaining a PhD in archaeology at Bournemouth University.
During my time here at AC Archaeology I have been part of a vast array of projects ranging from small residential extensions, to leading teams of archaeologists on extensive water and gas pipeline projects. In my spare time, I support the Wessex Academy for Field Archaeology in teaching various aspects of practical archaeology to those interested in taking part in community archaeology.
