I have worked in archaeology since the late 1990s, beginning my career excavating sites throughout the midlands, soon branching out into archaeological graphics, visualisation and the archaeological application of GIS.
In the early 2000s I began working on English Heritage (now Historic England) funded National Mapping Programme (NMP) aerial survey projects, and have continued to work on similar projects, with a few short breaks to the present.
My first work in the southwest was the NMP survey of Exmoor National Park, culminating in an English Heritage publication (still available in all good bookshops). After a short period as AC archaeology’s graphics officer, I began to manage further NMP surveys in Devon, with surveys of the North Devon Coast AONB, the south Devon coastline, Exe estuary and currently the Blackdown Hills AONB.
I live in Exeter with my wife and two elderly cats.
