Richard Sims

NMP Project Officer

I have worked as an archaeologist for over 18 years, during which time I have worked on a diverse range of sites throughout the UK and abroad. I’ve been based in the southwest since 2005 and have worked for AC archaeology for most of this time. I’m currently employed as an embedded contractor in Devon County Council on the National Mapping Programme, recording and mapping archaeological and historical sites in the Blackdown Hills from aerial photographs and other remote sensing data. Outside of work, I like to spend my spare time sailing and kayaking off the Devon and Cornwall coastlines, as well as walking and sea fishing.
